In Game 1 we took a look at the basics of game making in AppShed such has the engine it uses, how to move objects and add more. In this course, we are going to take a look at how to improve upon to look of our game while learning a little more about coding.
Until now we have had to just accept that some images in our game are platforms and some are backgrounds. However, in the course, we are going to use “Phaser Groups” to give you more control over your game.
The silence is broken! Finally, we have ways to add sounds to our game to make it feel more like a real game. In this course, we will learn about the actions that cause sounds to play (such as jumping or collecting a star) and how to change the sounds that are played.
The point of Game 7 is to build on existing knowledge of groups and how properties are passed on to objects. We will also take a look at some new code we can add to objects in our game to make them do some cool new things.
